Alice Braga and Alia Shawkat

Alia Shawkat was born in California in the city of Riverside on 18 April 1989. She is currently one of America's most famous and richest TV actors. The actress played Maeby Funke on the Fox show Arrested Development a role that earned her a TV Land Future Classic Award. She appeared in Whip It with Ellen Page. Between 2001 and 2004, Shawkat played Hannah in State of Grace. Shawkat, playing Maeby Funke Shawkat, was a cast member on Arrested Development throughout the run of the series from 2003-2018. Shawkat was recognized by her character on occasions. The show got almost universally positive feedback. Brian M. Palmer of Pop Culture noted that she is one of the brightest light on a show that is dominated by bright lights, and Scott Weinberg at eFilmCritic said it was a funny young woman. In an A.V. Shawkat noted in 2010 at The A.V. Club many of the most memorable moments she experienced as an actress occurred on the set of Arrested's. The Hollywood Reporter says that the show follows two hipster girls born in Brooklyn who make the move to Silver Lake, Los Angeles in pursuit of their dream of becoming creative.
