Kelly Clarkson

KellyKelly Clarkson in her full Kelly Brianne Clarkson was an American artist and performer who rose to fame after she was the winner of American Idol's talent contest in 2002. Clarkson was raised in Burleson Texas (a suburban area within Fort Worth), where her talents in singing were first recognized by her 7th grade music teacher. Upon finishing high school, Clarkson relocated to Los Angeles, where she was unsuccessful in her attempt to enter the show business. After returning to Texas her name was announced as a contestant on the first season of the FOX Broadcasting Co's American Idol, a singing show that allowed the audience to select their top performer. Clarkson was well-liked by viewers for her charismatic voice and funny sense of humor. Clarkson's prize in the prize draw was $1 million, as well as an recording deal with RCA.
