Trompe-l'oeil art is created through the combination of two methods of photographing and painting. It creates an unflattened and two-dimensional image. Meade often incorporates models painted in the space surrounding them. It allows them to engage with the environment she has created. Thus, the boundary between painting and photography is removed.
