Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl, and she received the highest marks on her A level exams. While discussing her Emmerdale appearance Coleman confessed that she regretted having not gone to university. When she was at school, Coleman was a part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was well-received by the audience, and the show received positive reviews. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas at Emmerdale while auditioning in drama schools in 2005. Coleman was twice nominated for Awards in 2007. The British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and during the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. For the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories of Best Actress and Sexiest female, as well as the category for Best acting in a Drama. Coleman was awarded a Television Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will be Matt Smith's companion following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the part because she was the most efficient with Smith and spoke more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the industry since 1987. She has appeared in various TV shows and films. But she's been more well-known on television as opposed to films. Out of the many roles Eva has appeared in on television shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that stand out. In fact, the character of the character Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children landed her the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This allowed her to display her talent in music. Alongside being an actress, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as an entrepreneur. Eva is married to three men and has one child born from the third.
